August has dropped heat and humidity all over the Palm Beaches and Beach Baby Barker, Cate, is tumbling and turning inside Britt's, Third-Trimester, baby-bump.
As the bump grows, I reflect on many things. Not the least of which is, WWIBC (What Will I Be Called).
Another being the miracle that is the creation and birth of human life.
This miracle brings forth such an outpouring of love (and, I feel sad for those who bring children into this world without tons and tons of affection and joy), that it is overwhelming.
Loving a child.
So easy.
This little sign I picked up (can't give credit because it seems to be anonymous) from the internet sort of spells it out for us, just in case we need a little reminder.
It recommeds that you plan to build a rocket ship. But, I've never been good at science, so Cate will have to find someone else to assist with that project.
I am also skeptical about the suggestion of wearing your pajamas to the movies. Well, unless it is your own bedroom or livingroom. I mean I don't want to get Cate tossed into the pokey just for seeing a movie in crappy attire, you know?
How to love a child?
It isn't about material things!
Brittany & Brandon with Beach Baby Barker, Surfer-Girl, on the way...let the journey journal begin!
The Journey Journal
Join the journey of Brittany and Brandon as they move through the pregnancy months of their first child...as viewed and expressed by a first-time grandmother (appropriate name for me TBD). This is simply a collection of my observations. I'm not attempting to be profound, even if I could. Expected due date is October 29, 2012. We invite your thoughts, suggestions and encouragment. We're a little nervous, but crazy-happy! We welcome you to follow along!

I am really eager to see what you will be called. I'm thinking you won't know till little Cate gets here. Then when you look at her you will know exactly what you want her to call you. Then who knows, she may give you her own name anyways. I love the sign too. It's amazing how my love has grown with my little belly. From the first ultrasound and heart beat, to her first little detectable squirm in my tummy, and now to the kicks and jabs and rolls and turns. She is so much apart of our family and she already has such a personality expressed through her little (and sometimes BIG) movements inside of me.
